What is Ledger Live Desktop?

Ledger Live Desktop is the official Ledger application for securely managing cryptocurrency. It lets you send, receive, and track coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more while keeping private keys safe inside your Ledger hardware wallet.

Step 1: Download Ledger Live Desktop

Get Ledger Live from the official Ledger website to avoid security risks:

• Download for Windows
• Download for macOS
• Download for Linux

Step 2: Install & Connect Your Ledger Device

Once installed, launch Ledger Live Desktop and connect your Ledger Nano X or Nano S:

• Set up as a new device or restore with your recovery phrase.
• Create a secure PIN code.
• Write down your 24-word recovery phrase and store it offline.

Reminder: Never share your recovery phrase. Ledger will never ask for it.

Step 3: Add Crypto Accounts

Use the "Accounts" tab to add apps for supported cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and more. This allows you to send, receive, and monitor assets easily.

Step 4: Manage Your Crypto Portfolio

• Send & Receive: Confirm every transaction directly on your device.
• Portfolio Tracker: View balances and market values in real-time.
• Secure Management: Your private keys never leave your Ledger device.

• Keep your recovery phrase offline in a safe place.
• Update Ledger Live and your device firmware regularly.
